BURGLARS BEWARE! WINDOW TINT IS HERE!

One doesn’t usually associate window tinting with home security. That’s probably because most people don’t know what residential window tinting can do to help with home security. It can actually help in a couple different ways depending on which window tint you choose. At Solar Solutions, we would love to help you make the choice that is best for you and your family.

The first type of tint you might want to consider is our one-way tint. This has a double deterrent for would-be home invaders. First, they cannot see into your home to get a peek at your belongings. You can hang that nice piece of art without worrying about unwanted people peeking at it and deciding they want to turn it into their ill-gotten gain! Second, if someone does try to break a window to make entry into your home, the tint holds the shattered glass together! So, not only does this make it difficult for them to enter, but you also don’t have to deal with the mess of shattered glass all over the floor.

Perhaps the idea of a dark tint on your windows doesn’t appeal to you. We also offer a very light or even clear tint. You heard me correctly…clear! This WILL allow people to see through your windows as they do now, but the tint will still hold any shattered glass together in the event a would-be burglar takes a hammer or Louisville Slugger to your window.

Can you imagine the shock and surprise that a potential burglar would experience as they think they are getting away with breaking into your home only to have the window shatter but not fall out? Now what? Another hit won’t do the trick. They have made noise and drawn attention to themselves. Hopefully, they will get caught; most certainly they will not succeed at entering your home. Crisis averted. Now, that definitely offers some peace of mind.

You may think this doesn’t apply to you because you live in a safe neighborhood.  We all hope that is true, but it can happen. For instance, in Vero Beach, your chance of being a victim of a property crime is 1 in 30 which is higher than the Florida state average of 1 in 36. Why take that chance? Contact Brian at Solar Solutions if you live in the Palm Bay or Sebastian areas. He will be glad to help you make the window tinting choice that is right for you!
