Making the Most out of Summertime on a Budget

Do you ever feel like you’re running out of ideas of what to do with your kids during the summer? Once school is out, kids can quickly find themselves growing bored of video games and movies, and many parents can’t afford to take their kids to theme parks very often or go on an exotic family vacation. Never fear! We at Solar Solutions have put together a few ideas for you to get the whole family outdoors this summer, and the best part is they’re all free!

Climb a tree

Good climbing trees can be hard to find. Think of this as a fun adventure you can all go on together. Check out some of the parks in Palm Bay or Sebastian for the perfect climbing tree! When you find one you’ll be rewarded not only by a successful search, but a great spot to hang out with your kids, play together, read, take family photos, etc.

Play hide-and-seek

Never underestimate the power of a good game of hide-and-seek. Even if your kids are older, this is a great way to reconnect as a family and play together again. Get creative with your hiding spots! Or to make it more fun, assign chore consequences for the loser or a reward for the winner!

Splash in puddles

Especially if you live in the Vero Beach area of Florida, you are no stranger to rain. Take advantage, pull up your rain boots, and get splashing!

Sail paper boats

See who can come up with the best boat design, color, and style and go set sail! It’s amazing how entertaining such a simple activity is for kids, but they will get so excited to see something they made with their own two hands doing what it was made to do.

Not only is summer a great time to bond with your kids, it’s also the perfect time to get the windows of your car or home tinted to block out the hot summer sun! If you’re in Brevard or St. Lucie County, stop in and give us a visit or check out our website to see all of our great deals on automotive and residential window tinting! No matter what you do this summer, all of us at Solar Solutions hope you stay cool, stay safe, and have fun.
